We love downtown Fayetteville. From Dickson Street (where the venue is located) to The Square (central downtown) there are a lot of cute shops and eateries.

Starting with the food and drink, our favorite restaurant is Atlas on the square. We like Guisinger Cocktail Club and The Vault for cocktails. Calle Latin Cuisine has good dinners and it is nice to sit on their patio which faces the square. Arsagas is our favorite coffee, on The Square they have Arsaga's Church & Center where they sell all the coffees and good toast. Arsagas drive-thru on MLK is where I frequent when I want drive-thru coffee, it is local, fresher, and better than Starbucks. Runner-up would be Onyx. Puritan Coffee and Brewery is right by the venue and they are decent especially the atmosphere, you can get a drink from there and sit outside where they have food truck options. Another 'Fayetteville Famous' place would be Hugo's on the square who serves burgers. Next to it is Pinpoint, a cocktail and pinball machine bar--always a fun and goofy time.

And for shops, Dickson Street Bookstore is pretty magical, it is a tight space with floor to ceiling bookshelves. Cheap Thrills is a consignment shop where I have found fabulous vintage items and where I shop not online. Block Street Records (on The Square) is super cool and smells like yummy incense and has an incredible collection of vinyls, CDs, and cassette tapes. Darcy Apparel (on The Square) is a cute boutique-style shop which also has decent items.

Lastly, for recreation a couple things come to mind. First would be Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art up in Bentonville. The museum is situated on a site of approximately 120 to 134 acres of native Ozark forest and consists of eight interconnected pavilions designed by architect Moshe Safdie. Its collection focuses on American art across multiple periods and media, and is displayed in buildings integrated into the surrounding landscape. They have hiking trails around the museum kind of like an 'art walk'. There are also other beautiful trails in Fayetteville including the Markham Hill Nature Trails and Mount Kessler. Northwest Arkansas is a huge cycling and mountain biking community, the Razorback Greenway is a paved cycling path that goes for 30+ miles throughout the whole region from Fayetteville to Bentonville. We often ride our bikes to Lake Fayetteville which also has good off path trails and paved biking/walking trails. Fayetteville has city bikes and e-bikes that you can rent and Bentonville has mountain bikes that you can rent.
